On the day of the year when we celebrate spooky things, we thought we’d check in about what’s really scary: A Republican majority in control of Congress. 😵
This fall we’ve watched Republicans come dangerously close to shutting down the government, oust their Speaker, go leaderless and lifeless for a record-breaking three weeks preventing our government from functioning, and eventually pick a leader who denied the 2020 election results, supports a nationwide abortion ban, and authored federal "Don’t Say Gay" legislation.
At a time when global instability looms and families are looking to our leaders for solutions here at home, Republicans in Congress – including our opponent Pete Stauber – have decided that extremism and party loyalty are more important than doing the work of solving problems for the American people.
It’s scary. It’s bone chilling. It’s absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
