Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Stephen F. Austin’s colony, San Felipe de Austin,on Saturday, November 11 at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site. Experience the historic townsite exhibit and take part in demonstrations around the grounds. Interact with living historians who will be demonstrating several activities, including cooking, woodworking, printing the newspaper on the printing press, drills with the militia leader, early Texas Rangers and their equipment, cannon firing, and clothes-making.
