Last quarter, we were outraised and outspent by Adam Schiff and Katie Porter, and election experts are predicting that this could be one of the most competitive Senate races in our nation's history.
But, John: I fully intend to win this race. I know that Californians want a true progressive fighter in the Senate, and I'm the most progressive candidate in this race. Here's why:
* Adam Schiff voted against Medicare for All and the Congressional Progressive Caucus' People's Budget. When President Bush asked Congress for unlimited powers to wage war in Iraq, he left me standing alone, with a final vote of 420-1.
* Katie Porter opposes earmarks, which means that our state is missing out on MILLIONS of dollars directly to our communities.
Time and time again, I've proven my judgment and unwavering commitment to progress – even when I've stood alone.
Now, with less than five months until the primary election, this race is in a statistical tie. Spreading my progressive message far and wide is tantamount to victory – and that's why reaching my $200,000 end-of-month fundraising goal is so important.
That's why I'm personally asking you to join me, so please: Will you rush $5 or more by midnight tonight so that I can hit my goal and have the resources I need to spread my message of a progressive future to voters everywhere? →
