Last week, I shared this video [[link removed]] on Twitter, highlighting my background as a national security and terrorism prosecutor. And it made MAGA-extremists go nuts.

Just look at a sampling of the 1,000+ responses:

[link removed] [[link removed]]The irony is that If these folks even bothered to watch the video, they’d see I was warning about the real world consequences of conspiracy theories and Qanon lies rippling across social media and then echoing on Fox News.

“Catturd” and the other trolls can call me a “commie” all they want, but here’s the truth:

I’m proud of my work holding criminals accountable, including prosecuting those that attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6 in an attempt to dismantle our democracy. Because there’s nothing less communist than prosecuting those trying to overturn a free and fair election.

But with the MAGA wing officially in control of the Republican Party, the threat of another Jan. 6 is real. Today’s GOP has downplayed the attack, and given the green light to their followers to do it again.

We can’t count on Speaker Mike Johnson (the guy who led the lawsuit to overturn the election in 2020) to act in good faith to certify the election results in January of 2025. And we certainly can’t count on Ken Calvert.

Unlike Calvert, I will always fight to protect our democracy and defend you and your family from hate, extremism, and corruption. We can beat him, but I’ll need your help to do it.
