The Cash Ban Question

I want you to ask yourself: What freedoms would you happily give up if the Government decided to make them illegal??

Fishing? Going to the gym? Spending your cash how and when you choose? Enjoying a coffee with friends

This is an important question because a freedom you use to have is about to be taken away.

Very soon spending anything more than $10,000 in legal tender could become illegal.

The idea is that cash will instead need to be deposited in the bank, and purchases will be made by electronic transfer.

If proposed laws get Senate support as expected, anyone using cash for a purchase over $10,000 will face a $25,000 fine and two years jail.

It’s true that most of us don’t have $10,000 cash lying around, but there are those who do, and cash is still legal tender. And anyone who has saved up to buy a second hand car or boat, or pay for a holiday, or a new garden shed, should be allowed to do it.

The Liberals and Labor have already said they support the cash ban, despite members in both parties being concerned. One Nation opposes the ban.

The government says the laws are designed to stop crimes like money laundering and tax evasion, but I am concerned that there might be a hidden motive. Is the economy in a much more drastic position than we are told? Does the Government want cash back in the banks to prop up Australia’s finances?

Whatever the reason, if you don’t want the loss of this freedom, you should let your loacal Senators know before it goes to the vote soon.

Who knows what freedoms will be lost next.

Nats Back One Nation on Uranium Mining

Hot off the heels of their well-received blueprint for education reform in New South Wales, the One Nation NSW team has been given a big tick for their Bill to overturn the ban on uranium mining and nuclear power in their home state.

The Bill, authored by NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham, has received a glowing endorsement from the Nationals who have agreed to give it their support after a Government report recommended that the entire NSW Government supports the One Nation Bill in its entirety.

One Nation has always said that nuclear energy must be considered in the energy debate and with the technological advancements we have seen, there is no reason for Australia NOT to embrace Nuclear.

Calling for Candidates in Western Australia

It seems like only yesterday One Nation ran its last successful state election campaign in Western Australia. Follow momentum from our triumphant 2016 return to federal politics, One Nation burst onto the WA political scene with the election of WA state leader Colin Tincknell, representing the people of the Southwest Region, and Robin Scott, representing the people of the Mining and Pastoral Region. And now it is time to muster our forces and prepare to take the fight to the political establishment once again.

With the next election right around the corner, Colin and Robin are putting out the call to anyone interested in joining their efforts to bring even more common sense to the WA parliament. If you or anyone else you know may be interested, let them know and get in contact our WA Team right away. Together we can continue to build on the many achievements we have seen over the last few years.

That is this weeks recap from One Nation.

While you're here, we'd love to ask a favour. We are a party with fewer resources than Labor with their union donations and the Liberals with their big corporates, but with your help and by listening to the people, we can achieve real change in parliament for the betterment of the country.

One Nation is run on purely grassroots support. We rely on the contributions of mums, dads, daughters and sons from the top to bottom of Australia to stay running as a party and every dollar counts.

We appreciate times are tough but even a small amount of support makes a difference. Your help enables us to keep up the fight in politics and get Australia back on track.
