Mike Johnson’s very first bill as the Speaker of the House would make major cuts to clean energy programs in the Inflation Reduction Act.
We knew extreme Republicans would come for the IRA, but we didn’t know it would be this quickly. And they clearly don’t care if their stance is popular or not. As part of their cuts, they even targeted programs that would directly help American households reduce their energy bills.
