FIRST: The most extreme House Republicans removed their leader, Kevin McCarthy, as Speaker of the House and paralyzed the House from governing for 22 days.

THEN: Republicans unanimously voted to elect MAGA extremist Mike Johnson of Louisiana to become Speaker of the House. Johnson not only participated in the plot to overturn the 2020 election but is vocally anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ — even voting against the bipartisan bill to codify same-sex marriage.

NOW: We must do everything we can to take back the House majority and give the American people a Speaker who will fight to better the lives of Americans, not self-interested policies.
