A Day of Advocacy: 300 Voices That Stood Up For Gaza Dear Email, Today, we write to you with a heart full of gratitude and hope for the Palestinians suffering under Israel’s cruel assault on Gaza. Against all odds, 300 dedicated Americans from diverse backgrounds and 25 different states converged on October 24th to Capitol Hill to fight for an end to the Genocide taking place at this very moment. This monumental effort resulted in nearly 200 meetings where we fought for Members of Congress to push for a ceasefire, vote against the needless and dehumanizing H.Res. 768, and support humanitarian aid for Gaza while opposing military aid for Israel. Palestine Advocacy Days 2023 was not just an event; it was a powerful statement. It showcased the strength of our collective voice and the impact we can make when we come together for a just cause. Our advocacy was not just about numbers; it was about the stories, the emotions, and the passion that each participant brought to the table. It was about making our elected officials understand the gravity of the situation and urging them to act. However, our work does not end here. We must continue to engage, advocate, and ensure that our elected officials hear our demands and act upon them. I urge you to remain involved, to keep the momentum going, and to continue advocating for justice and peace. Don’t lose momentum because Palestinians suffering genocide cannot afford for you to become tired. Don’t be dissuaded by the smear campaigns against people who are pro-Palestinian. Finally, do not lose hope because we must follow the example of every Palestinian throughout historic Palestine who has not given up hope for a FREE Palestine. |
