I wanted to reach out to you myself because Republicans have already passed their first major piece of legislation under their new Speaker, Mike Johnson. 

This bill is bad news for working families, the economy, and the climate.

A year ago, I fought to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, the most significant climate legislation that any country on the planet has ever passed. This bill boosts domestic manufacturing of clean energy, invests in the health of our forests and watersheds, and helps us tackle drought in the American West. All the while, it already has created thousands of good-paying jobs in Colorado, with thousands more on the way.

The Inflation Reduction Act reduces emissions, while building an economy that works for everyone. It’s a win-win. But under their new Speaker, Republicans in the House have passed a bill to repeal parts of this historic legislation.

I’ve spent years working on solutions to address the climate crisis, cut pollution, and ensure clean air and water for Coloradans. The Inflation Reduction Act is a critical piece of this.
