New Census Bureau data on minority owned, veteran owned, and women owned businesses are now available from the 2022 Annual Business Survey.
There were approximately 5.9 million employer firms in total in 2021, of which 21% were minority-owned, 5.2% were veteran-owned, and 22% were owned by women.
