JOHN –

This will be one of the longest emails you'll ever receive from me, so it would mean a lot if you read until the end.

I'm running a campaign for and by the people – so as we start knocking doors and making calls in MI-10, I don't want there to be any confusion over our team's grassroots organizing strategy. I'm going to explain exactly how we plan to defeat John James.

But before I explain, can you make a donation of $5 or more towards our end-of-month goal? We set a big goal and still need to raise $12,837 if we want a fair shot at taking MI-10 back from extremist MAGA Republican John James. [[link removed]]

Step 1. Organize in Every Part of the District

MI-10 was the third closest House race in the country and last year, we came up short by only 1,600 votes – that’s less than a percentage point! In electoral politics, we call that a “field margin.” And the way we win by a field margin is by out-organizing our opponents and counting no one out.

In order to reach every voter, we need a budget for organizing and advertising across MI-10. This means reaching every fundraising goal we set so we have enough resources to fight back against MAGA extremist John James and flip this seat blue.

Step 2: Put People First, Not High Dollar Donors

I'm in this race for families like yours – not special interests or mega-donors. I'm running to create more good-paying jobs, defend reproductive rights, and protect our Great Lakes from polluters.

Meanwhile, my GOP opponent relies on high dollar donors to fund his campaign. John James raised $2.4 million this year alone, and he'll fight for the interests of his mega-donors rather than the needs of people in MI-10. This is why my campaign is counting on supporters like you to help us win this race.

Step 3: Focus on the Issues that Matter

Everyday Americans are tired of House Republicans' political dysfunction and inability to lead. Instead, they want leaders who are focused on creating jobs, lowering the cost of healthcare, defending reproductive rights, delivering protections for LGBTQ+ rights and fighting climate change.

I'm running to be a voice for working people in MI-10. But first, I need your help reaching our end-of-month goal so Michiganders have a leader who represents real people rather than special interest groups. So please, can you rush any amount before our fast-approaching deadline? [[link removed]]

Thanks for reading,

Carl
Our race was the third closest House race in the country – and political pundits are already predicting this cycle could be just as close.
Democrats cannot take back the House majority without flipping MI-10 blue, and we know Carl will once again be a top target for national Republicans.
