As we reach the end of LGBTQ History Month, we reflect on and celebrate the stories and work of many of the past trailblazers in the LGBTQ movement. As we look forward, we know there is still so much more history to be made. While making significant changes may seem daunting, by working together, we can create a world where LGBTQ young people will have the opportunity to honor their own history.
Remember – history cannot be made all at once. Instead, it thrives on everyday acts and collective action. You have the power to make a meaningful impact on your community and the nation. And we want to help you get started:
- Advocate for justice. Attend events, testify against harmful legislation or contact legislators. Staying informed can have a huge impact on your community and the nation.
- Be a source of support for LGBTQ young people. We’ve put together tons of resources and guides to help you learn more about the challenges LGBTQ young people face every day.
- Support The Trevor Project. We can’t do this without you. Whether it’s volunteering for our crisis lines or making a donation, your support helps us deliver on our mission to end suicide among LGBTQ young people.
