Hi There, my first run for U.S. Congress in 2006 feels like it was both yesterday and a lifetime ago. Check out some rarely-seen photos from the archives:
Times have changed, but the reason I ran for Congress back then and the values I fight for in the Senate are the same. I remain in this fight because I’m committed to helping working- and middle-class families across Vermont and the country, and we’ve got much more work to do.
Since heading to Congress, I’ve been in the thick of many fights, and I’ve experienced my share of ups and downs—but that’s never stopped me from working to deliver real, progressive solutions for Vermonters. I’m proud to be known as someone who gets things done, because that’s the mindset I bring to a Senate too often mired in gridlock.
I’ll keep working hard on behalf of all Vermonters like I have since I was first elected.
