But first, we have to talk about the new Speaker of the House: Mike Johnson.

You might not know his name yet, but here’s just a sample of Mike Johnson’s voting record:

NO on bipartisan gun violence prevention.
NO on certifying the 2020 election in AZ and PA.
NO on federally codifying same-sex and interracial marriage.

And:

YES on a national “Don’t Say Gay” bill (He wrote it.)
YES to a national abortion ban.
YES to imprisoning abortion providers with “hard labor for 1-10 years.” (!!!)

When reporters asked Speaker Mike Johnson what his worldview was, he told them: “Go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it – that’s my worldview.”

We’re facing multiple crises abroad and massive challenges here at home. Californians need a bold, experienced champion to take on Speaker Mike Johnson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the rest of the wannabe authoritarians in Congress – while delivering the progress our communities need.
