Breaking news, John:
A candidate has just officially launched their campaign to challenge Justice Democrats incumbent Cori Bush for her U.S. House seat in Missouri’s 1st congressional district.
This morning, Wesley Bell dropped out of the race for U.S. Senate and announced he’s taking on Cori. While Cori was organizing and marching for criminal justice reform after police officer Darren Wilson murdered Michael Brown in 2014, Bell promised to hold police accountable in Ferguson — but then refused to prosecute as the Prosecuting Attorney for St. Louis County.
This primary challenge also comes after Cori introduced the Ceasefire Now Resolution in Congress, calling for urgent de-escalation and a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza while demanding humanitarian aid be delivered to the 2.2 million Palestinians facing unimaginable violence paired with lack of access to electricity, food, and water.
Cori is standing up and speaking out against this horrific human rights crisis unfolding in Palestine — and she’s being punished for it.
The more we come together and show the people power behind Cori, the greater chance we have at defeating this challenger and re-electing Cori next year.
Thanks for your support,
Justice Democrats
