Friend,
As your Congressman, I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that Election Day is fast approaching and is only one week away. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7th and polls will be open from 7am to 8pm.
Below, I have included several important links to information on voting and Election Day that you will need if you are casting, mailing, or dropping off a ballot in Philadelphia.
VOTING IN PERSON Polling locations change often, so make a plan and know where your polling place is located before Election Day. If you are a registered voter and would like to find your polling location in your neighborhood, please click HERE to go to the Philadelphia City Commissioners website where you can enter your address and other information to determine where your polling place is located.
VOTING BY ABSENTEE OR MAIL-IN BALLOT IN PHILADELPHIA
All registered Philadelphia voters are entitled to vote by mail. You have two options: Mail-In Ballots and Absentee Ballots. An Absentee Ballot is only for people who will be outside the city on Election Day, or who have an illness or physical disability that prevent them from voting at a polling location. Voters requesting an Absentee Ballot must provide a valid reason for receiving the ballot. Mail-In Ballots are available to all voters – no reason needed.
APPLYING FOR A MAIL-IN or ABSENTEE BALLOT
The deadline to apply for a Mail-In or absentee ballot is October 31 at 5:00 PM. For more information, visit the City of Philadelphia's Vote by Mail page.
DROPPING OFF YOUR BALLOT
The deadline to return your completed ballot is November 7th at 8:00 PM. Ballots must be received by the County Board of Elections by 8:00 pm on Election Day. To find the closest ballot drop box near you click HERE .
*POSTMARKS DO NOT COUNT*
Please note that your completed ballot must be received by the county board of elections by the 8pm deadline on Election Day November 7, 2023 and a postmark is not considered a time stamp for your ballot. If your ballot arrives by mail after the 8pm, November 7, 2023 deadline, it will not be counted.
