It has been another busy week on Capitol Hill. We finally elected a Speaker, I introduced a privileged censure resolution against Jihad Squad member Rashida Tlaib, attended committee hearings, and more. I wanted to take the time to catch you up on everything that’s happened and walk you through where the House currently stands.  

This week, I introduced a privileged censure resolution against Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib.

I introduced a censure resolution against Rashida Tlaib for her antisemitic rhetoric, her ongoing sympathy for terrorist organizations, and her latest involvement in the organization of an insurrection at the United States Capitol Complex. Rashida Tlaib led an anti-American, anti-Israel protest into the building interrupting that day's legislative business. 

Members of Congress who denounce the United States while praising terrorist organizations are unfit to hold office. Rashida Tlaib must be publicly censured in the House of Representatives with total condemnation for support of terrorist organizations. 

This resolution will require the House to consider the resolution on the House floor within two legislative days. Tlaib has a history of making anti-American and antisemitic comments and does not represent anything America stands for.

This week House Republicans were finally able to unite and elect Speaker Mike Johnson. I have been vocal that I would only support a speaker nominee who was America First and would hold Democrats accountable. Congressman Mike Johnson had one of the strongest voting records among candidates, and he is committed to moving important legislation forward, like my Protect Children’s Innocence Act, to end the genital mutilation of kids. We are grateful to now have a speaker so that we can get back to work for the American people and address the serious issues facing our country!

This week the Committee on Homeland Security held a hearing titled, "An Examination of the Iranian Regime's Threats to Homeland Security." Joe Biden’s administration hired Robert Malley as the special envoy to Iran who has ties to Hamas and whose security clearance was secretly revoked. We can only wonder why the Biden admin would hire an individual who has ties to a terrorist organization...

I am committed to investigating the Biden Administration and holding everyone accountable.

The Office of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is seeking interns for her office in Washington, DC. Applicants should be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, and have interest in learning more about the legislative process. Start and end dates are flexible. Georgia ties are preferred, but not required. This is a paid position and college credit can be earned.

Interns will work in three different interest tracks:

• Policy: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s legislative team. Tasks include answering phones, assisting with legislative research, processing constituent mail, attending policy briefings, and additional tasks to aid the legislative team.
  
  
• Communications: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s communications team. Tasks include answering phones, compiling daily press and broadcast clips, organizing, maintaining, and updating media lists, drafting press releases, assisting with social media, and additional tasks to aid the communications team. Experience with the Adobe Suite is required.
  
  
• Administrative: Interns will work closely with the scheduler and staff assistants to complete tasks that are essential for day-to-day office organization. These include answering phones, compiling contact lists, processing constituent mail, leading Capitol tours, completing flag requests, drafting constituent correspondence, and assisting with weekly reports.
