Portion of Sylvester Park, Washington Street closed Nov. 1 for tree maintenance
Scope & Impact: Expect noise as well as the sidewalks, the street, and a portion of the park to be closed. Traffic and parking around the area will also be impacted.
Where: The eastern side of Sylvester Park and Washington Street SE between Legion Way SE and 7th Avenue SE.
When: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Why: An Elm tree will be trimmed to avoid branches falling in the future, protect the safety of pedestrians, and reduce potential damage to vehicles.
All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with Treewalker, LLC from Tumwater for this effort.
