Capitol Court Building closed for planned power outage this Friday
Scope & Impact: The Capitol Court Building will be closed to all employees and visitors this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4, for safety during a planned power outage.
Building occupants There will be no building access except for authorized crews until work is complete. Building occupants should plan to telework on Friday, take all needed items with them before leaving on Thursday, and remove all perishable food items from refrigerators and freezers.
Parking Services The physical Office of Parking Services will be closed during this work. Parking services are still available online, and day passes can be purchased via the visitor lot kiosks.
Where: Capitol Court Building.
When: 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3 through 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.
Why: Required electrical work to connect the new backup generator to the building.
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with BES Electrical Services, LLC of Olympia, Washington for this effort.
