Eira is the daughter of Mexican parents who immigrated to the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. At age 23, Eira became the youngest elected official in the state when she was elected Clerk for the Village of Hanover Park.

Now Eira is ready to use her 10 years of experience in local government to fight for environmental justice and climate resilience. Eira will work to protect greater Chicago from issues like flooding - issues that often disproportionately impact our communities.

Down ballot races matter, John. The Board of Commissioners is responsible for establishing policies and procedures that protect the water and environment for Cook County. We need forward-thinking leaders like Eira to protect our communities and build a stronger Chicagoland.
