Real Justice

John,

Here’s the deal: even though Tuesday was Election Day in Los Angeles, the votes are all still being counted and we don’t have final results in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s race.

Real Justice needs your support to fight for every vote in Los Angeles. Will you contribute $5 to Real Justice right now to help them fight for justice in Los Angeles?

Our hope is that either George Gascón or Rachel Rossi have earned enough votes to either beat Jackie Lacey or advance to a run-off election. We’re going to make sure to keep you updated on what’s going on in the Los Angeles District Attorney race.

But I can share with you today that Measure R passed by over 40 points! Measure R will root out corruption to prevent abuses by the Jails and Sheriff’s Department, invest in rehabilitation and mental health treatment, and reduce the jail population in Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles is my home. We have built a movement here to Reform LA Jails, and we’ve already made history. I know it’s possible to make sure no new jails are built, that no one with mental illness is brutally put behind bars, and that we invest in community-based care. But electing a new DA is a critical step.

We have to do everything we can to elect a new District Attorney in Los Angeles and we need to be prepared to enter a run-off election against Jackie Lacey.

Will you rush a contribution to Real Justice right now to help them fight for every vote in Los Angeles and finally defeat Jackie Lacey?

We can do this. Here we go y’all!!
