If you’ve been following along with what’s happening in Congress, you’ve witnessed the most reckless, far-right GOP members dissolve their majority, and repeatedly fail to elect a new Speaker for over three weeks, effectively shutting down the function of Congress.
Just last week they finally elected a new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, an extreme MAGA member who is an election denier and has a track record of supporting far-right legislation like a nationwide anti-LGBTQ+ “Don’t Say Gay” bill, extreme national abortion bans with no exceptions, and the dismantling of Medicare and Social Security.
Frustrated? ME TOO.
