The Ottawa County Land Bank Authority is seeking projects eligible for Blight Elimination grant funding. Generally across the county, properties must be publicly owned in order to be eligible, and activities that can be funded are limited to acquisition or rehabilitation of properties to be sold or rented to income-qualified persons. A limited number of census tracts near Grand Valley State University (see link in nomination form), however, are also eligible for demolition, stabilization, private ownership, and do not require income qualifications on housing.
The Land Bank is offering two virtual meetings to discuss the federal requirements and to help communities determine whether they have an eligible project they would like to nominate.
