Townhall: House Speaker Mike Johnson is amping up investigations against President Joe Biden, insisting the ongoing probes into the corrupt family are not “winding down.” During an interview with Fox News Digital, Johnson said that Biden has lied to the American people more than once, including his involvement with his son Hunter Biden’s shady overseas business dealings. The newly elected Speaker is confident the evidence Republicans have uncovered are impeachable offenses, saying, “I believe the documents are proving all that. The bank records don’t lie.” Biden’s bank statements cannot account for paying for a Delaware home with $2.75 million in cash on a “loan” to his brother, James Biden, for $200,000 (Townhall). Fox News: Johnson, a constitutional lawyer and former member of the House Judiciary Committee and House Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, has been involved in the impeachment investigation first-hand (Fox News).

Speaker Mike Johnson States Israel Aid Package Will Be Brought Forward

NBC: New House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Sunday that aid to Israel will be considered on the House floor in a standalone measure this week and expressed confidence that it would pass, resisting President Joe Biden’s call for Congress to provide a broader package that also includes aid to Ukraine. Earlier this month, the White House asked Congress to provide more than $105 billion in aid to Ukraine and Israel as well as other national security needs. The request includes $61.4 billion in aid to Ukraine, and $14.3 billion to Israel. The White House requested $9.15 billion in aid for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, Israel, Gaza “and other needs” (NBC). United States Strikes at Terror Group in Syria After Dozens of Attacks Against Them

Associated Press: U.S. fighter jets launched airstrikes early Friday on two locations in eastern Syria linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Pentagon said, in retaliation for a slew of drone and missile attacks against U.S. bases and personnel in the region that began early last week. The strikes reflect the Biden administration’s determination to maintain a delicate balance. The U.S. wants to hit Iranian-backed groups suspected of targeting the U.S. as strongly as possible to deter future aggression, possibly fueled by Israel’s war against Hamas, while also working to avoid inflaming the region and provoking a wider conflict (Associated Press). CNN: As of Thursday evening, when the Syria strikes were announced, US forces had come under attack a total of 19 times, according to the Pentagon, at least 12 separate times in Iraq and four separate times in Syria, resulting in 21 US service members suffering injuries. The Pentagon said the injuries were all minor and that the troops have returned to duty (CNN).

Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal Claims Biden’s Support for Israel will Diminish His Support Among Arabs

Townhall: Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington issued a warning to President Biden over his response to the Israel-Hamas war. During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the progressive “squad” member spoke about how the conflict could affect his 2024 reelection chances. While emphasizing that she has supported Biden on numerous domestic policy issues, she said he may be “challenged to explain an issue of this moral significance to the American people.” Polling shows Americans not only support Israel but also many of the countermeasures they’re taking in the wake of the brutal Oct. 7 attack by Hamas (Townhall). Meet the Press: Rep. Jayapal (D-Wash.) has been “one of President Biden’s biggest supporters” but worries that his response to Israel will cost him support from Arab and Muslim voters. “I am certainly concerned about his approach. … He needs to call us to a higher moral place” (X).

Pro-Palestinian Protestors Storm Airport Runway in Russia for Plane Carrying Israelis

Fox News: A group of protestors in southwestern Russia flooded an airport while chanting anti-Israeli remarks on Sunday night, reportedly searching for passengers from a flight that departed from Tel Aviv. The airport, which is in the city of Makhachkala in the Republic of Dagestan, closed after rioters began flooding the runway, according to Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsia. Rosaviatsia reported that all aircrafts headed towards Makhachkala were diverted. Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reporter Amichai Stein said that a small number of Jews and Israelis were “isolated” at the airport during the protests (Fox News). Lis of TikTok: Pro Hamas mob chanting “Allahu Akbar” just stormed a Russian airport because they heard a flight landed carrying jews (X).

Hundreds of Pro-Hamas Protesters Arrested in NYC

HotAir: The latest anti-Israel protests in New York City broke out on Friday evening and throughout Saturday. Police estimated that the number of protesters may have been as high as 7,000 at one point. First, they overran the Brooklyn Bridge, climbing onto the superstructure and hanging banners and Palestinian flags. They damaged some police cars and fights broke out with law enforcement. One of the speakers who addressed the crowd on the bridge with a bullhorn made it clear what their objective was. She called for the state of Israel to be “taken down by any means.” Leaving the bridge, the mob swarmed to Union Square where they damaged more police cars and vandalized a Starbucks. Up until this point, the NYPD had been showing remarkable restraint, particularly considering that this event had stopped being a “protest” almost immediately and turned into a full-fledged, violent riot. But then the rioters moved to Grand Central Station and proceeded to shut down the transportation hub. At that point, the police had clearly had enough. More than 300 of the rioters were arrested, taken to jail, and issued court summonses (HotAir).

New Jersey School District Cancels Halloween Activities for Children

Townhall: A school district in New Jersey reportedly banned all Halloween activities this year over “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” known as “DEI.” Earlier this month, Dr. Ronald G. Taylor, the superintendent of the South Orange-Maplewood School District, sent a letter to parents informing them that Halloween would not be celebrated in schools this year. This decision was made to be “inclusive” to students who do not celebrate the holiday or cannot afford costumes (Townhall). New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy: Seriously? We can’t let kids celebrate Halloween? Give me a break (X).

Hamas Leader Isamil Haniyeh Says Palestinian Civilians Need to Die for the Revolution

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) captured remarks that Haniyeh made during an address on Thursday in which he falsely claimed Israel was committing a “new holocaust” against the Palestinians inside Gaza (Daily Wire). “Friends” Star Matthew Perry Found Deceased at 54

Daily Wire: Actor Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit ’90s sitcom “Friends,” has died, according to TMZ. He was 54 years old. TMZ reported that Perry was found at his home in California on Saturday by first responders who were called over a possible cardiac arrest. Officials believe that he drowned in his jacuzzi, the report said. No substances were found at the scene and no foul play was suspected. The Times said that authorities did not provide an official cause of death (Daily Wire).
