It’s probably no surprise that here at the DNC, we’re laser-focused on the work ahead of us this year and next.

The presidential election is just over a year away. Control of Congress will once again be a toss-up come 2024. But there are also elections less than a month away in communities all over the country, from key governors’ races to general assembly elections.

In Virginia, elections in the House of Delegates and the state Senate are underway. If Republicans manage a trifecta, they are primed to pass a 15-week abortion ban -- we can’t let that happen.
In Pennsylvania, voters will select a new judge for the Commonwealth Court and two for the Supreme Court. State judicial branches have a big impact on their communities and that impact ripples nationwide, so we must maintain our democratic majority.
In Mississippi and Kentucky, voters will select their governor -- who will play critical roles in determining the directions of their respective states.

We simply can’t slow down our efforts to elect Democrats across the country up and down the ballot.

MAGA extremism, partisan gerrymandering, and the Republican crusade to suppress the vote are all serious hurdles we must fight back against if we want to elect Democrats across the country, especially in historically red states. But I know it can be done.

I want to highlight the incredible work this grassroots team has done this year. We have expanded and launched new organizing programs, helping win (and even flip!) key seats in states from New Hampshire to Wisconsin.

That’s all thanks to dedicated supporters like you. It's amazing how far we’ve come, but we are far from finished. We’re scaling up our work now to win in 2023, win again in 2024, and expand the map for Democrats across the entire country.
