Friend,

In all the excitement of Super Tuesday’s primary results and the presidential race, you may have missed this important news: the Supreme Court announced that it will hear Republicans’ lawsuit to strike down the Affordable Care Act this year.

This case, based on a frivolous legal theory, brought by more than a dozen conservative state attorneys general and backed by the Trump Administration threatens the complete undoing of the ACA’s protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions and affordable health insurance for millions . If there was any doubt that healthcare is on the ballot in November, this decision completely removes it.

House Democrats have defended the ACA in court and through legislation. We will continue to fight for Americans’ healthcare. Always. And yet, as races for the White House, Senate, and Congress heat up, Republicans at every level of government continue to wage attacks against the ACA, all while paying meaningless lip service to protecting care. This simply cannot be ignored.

If you’re like me and oppose this latest attempt to rip healthcare away from tens of millions of people, add your name to my petition to stand against this lawsuit now. [[link removed]]

Clearly, Trump and Republicans haven’t learned their lesson from the dozens of other times they’ve tried overturning the ACA in Congress and the courts.

That’s why we need to remind them that their continual attacks on our access to affordable care will ensure that voters throw them out this November.

Thanks for helping keep up this crucial fight,

Adam
