Dear Texans,

It has been a busy week in Washington, D.C. addressing the important issues facing our state, our nation and the world! Read below for an update on my work serving you. 

National Vietnam War Museum Ground Breaking - Phase 2

I was honored to speak at the phase 2 ground breaking ceremony of the National Vietnam War Museum in Mineral Wells, Texas. 

Museums such as this and the National Medal of Honor Museum located just East of Mineral Wells in Arlington, Texas, are essential to remembering those who came before and ensure that their stories are told.

After dedicating their lives to protect the freedom of all Americans and our greatest allies, these heroes deserve a place where their legacy can be remembered for generations to come and where future generations can understand the history of these events.

Standing with Israel 

We must continue to support our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel, in any way possible. This week the House passed legislation to show the world that we stand with the State of Israel and condemn any and all attacks by Hamas or other terrorist organizations. The legislation passed the house by a vote of 420 - 10. 

Subcommittee on National Security Hearing

Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups have been longtime allies with the Mexican drug cartels that are funneling drugs and potentially dangerous illegal immigrants through our southern border. These organizations such as Hamas have proven ties to the Iranian government, who have continued to exploit the gaps that exist within the current sanctions that have been placed against them. We must regain control of our southern border and ensure Iran is help accountable for their support of terrorism. Texas Rangers in the World Series

I am proud to represent Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, in the House of Representatives. I have placed a friendly wager with Arizona Congressman David Schweikert that the Rangers would clinch the World Series over the Arizona Diamondbacks! See our wager here.
