Right now in Congress, there’s a bit of a sense of “stemming the bleeding.” 

Trying to prevent the government from shutting down. 

Watching the endless GOP dysfunction in the House. 

Calling for an assault weapons ban that we desperately need, but know we can’t pass right now. 

Trying to codify reproductive freedoms for women across the country while states enact drastic abortion bans.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. 

We have an opportunity next year to protect and expand our Senate majority, take back the House, re-elect President Biden, and truly make the kind of progress the American people deserve.

I decided to run for re-election to the Senate because I really do have hope for what we can accomplish. 

Just look at what we did in the past few years -- from the American Rescue Plan to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to incremental progress on gun violence prevention, we’ve proven that with Democrats in power, good things happen.
