Friend, this is one of the worst anti-environmental spending bills to pass the House in years. House Republicans’ bill would:

— Slash billions of dollars from critical clean energy and clean water programs, including historic investments from the Inflation Reduction Act;

— Put wildlife in serious jeopardy by giving polluters a loophole that would violate the Endangered Species Act, threatening vulnerable species like salmon and risk contaminating our water sources;

— Engage in unrelated and hateful culture wars with racist and homophobic policy riders targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and allowing for discrimination based on same-sex marriage;

— Block support for underserved communities who have been hit hardest by pollution and environmental injustice.
