John,
Historic flooding. Devastating wildfires. Lethal hurricanes. Record temperatures being set nearly every month. Communities across the country are being reshaped by the climate crisis, nowhere more so than right here in North Carolina.
Coal, oil, and natural gas are to blame. If we don’t stop burning fossil fuels and spewing carbon into the air, things are only going to get worse. It’s time to take bold action, and I’ve got good news.
There’s a bill in the U.S. Senate that would transition America to a 100% clean energy economy by 2050. But it needs support from our senators Thom Tillis and Richard Burr.
With their party in control of the Senate, bipartisan backing makes it more likely to get a hearing and to become law. It’s that simple, and it starts with you sending a quick email.
This is a big first step to address the climate crisis. Click here to ask Tillis and Burr to sponsor the bill, John >> [link removed]
The Clean Economy Act of 2020 will boost an already booming solar industry in our state, creating even more jobs and saving lives.
The bill echoes steps taken by Gov. Cooper and cities like Charlotte, Asheville, and Raleigh. They’re already moving forward with their own plans to limit carbon emissions and boost clean energy.
Now we need federal action to spur a nationwide solution. It’s time for Tillis and Burr to get on board.

We can’t afford to stay silent — our health, economy, and future are on the line.
Thanks for taking action,
