Staying the Course in a World on Fire

As we encounter horrific instances and campaigns of mass violence at home and abroad, PRA remains focused on keeping our movements safe, strategic, and informed. We know that our communities are awash in grief and anger right now; we feel it too. We turn to each other for the strength to channel those feelings into action.

To help build an alternative future, we have spent the past few months producing:

  • A 101 guide to understanding the abortion abolitionist movement behind some of the most draconian anti-abortion legislation,
  • An all-staff retreat to reground our team in the needs of the moment,
  • Up-to-date analysis on the retaliatory violence unfolding in Palestine/Israel,
  • A bimonthly podcast breaking down some of the most significant threats to Democracy on the Right.

Stay tuned in the coming months for even more timely, rigorous, and accessible analysis.

In solidarity and resilience,

The PRA Team

101 Abortion Abolitionists by Hannah Silver and Cloee Cooper

101: Abortion Abolitionists

The self-proclaimed abortion abolitionists appropriate language from 19th Century anti-slavery movements, and apply that language to their anti-abortion agenda. This movement considers the pro-life movement reformist and criticizes it for failing to observe a conservative interpretation of the bible. Learn more about the abortion abolitionists and their strategy to influence public policy, and rhetoric in this 101.

In Case You Missed It

PRA's podcast, Inform Your Resistance, has released four episodes on various factions of the Right. Listen to discussions on the Abortion Abolitionists, racial capitalism and its effects on labor organizing, the National Conservatism movement to reshape the Right, and how Christian [home]schooling fits into the Christian Right's Dominionist agenda. Tune in every other Thursday wherever you get your podcasts.
