Friend,
I will never forget January 6th. I was more afraid at the Capitol that day than I was in my entire deployment to Iraq.
On January 6, I was assaulted by more than 40 rioters and mob members who were part of concerted efforts to overtake the Capitol. I was sprayed with bear mace, punched, kicked, beaten with stolen police batons and weapons. They even attacked us with the American flag.
I still bear the scars of this day and am saddened every time I think about my career being cut short because of this day.
I honestly thought I was going to die.
But I fought back. I fought for our democracy.
I'm still fighting for it.
And while I was fighting the mob, Ruben Gallego was on the House floor. He helped barricade the doors. He taught his colleagues how to use a gas mask. He was ready to fight for our democracy again, same as when he joined the Marines, same as when he fought in Iraq.
He's still fighting for it, too.
He's fighting to beat the people who led those insurrectionists, who cheer them on, who defend them — people like Mark Lamb, like Kari Lake, like Blake Masters, all running for Senate in Arizona.
Ruben is the kind of leader we need in the Senate, not them. I’m proud to support him. And that's why I'm writing to you today.
To win, he is going to need your help.
Can he count on you? Make today the day that you give your donation to Ruben’s Arizona Senate campaign.

I really appreciate it. I know Ruben does, too.
