John,
After three weeks without a Speaker of the House, Republicans have elected far-right extremist Mike Johnson – who authored the national version of Ron DeSantis' anti-LGBTQ+ "Don't Say Gay" bill, which devastated our residents.
As Congress adjusts to the new normal, Congresswoman Lois Frankel's top priority hasn't changed: she will always fight to have our community's voice heard. And while she's not on the ballot this year, she's been working to do that in DC.
At home, our team has been fighting hard to make sure Floridians get their voices heard as we get closer to important state elections this fall. Before we tell you any more, will you chip in toward a campaign that prioritizes people over politics? [[link removed]]
CHIP IN TODAY [[link removed]]
John, you might remember that Ron DeSantis recently passed a law requiring folks to register for their mail-in ballots twice as often as they would've before.
John, we want to make it clear – this new law is nothing but a calculated burden placed on Floridians to limit our right to vote. And this isn't the first or last time we'll see Republicans work to stifle the voice of the people.
To combat their most recent attack on mail-in ballots, our team is connecting with voters to remind them to check their voter registration status, and to request their ballot if they haven't already.
But because the law went into effect this year, there are still a lot of folks who don't know they have to re-register. We don't have a lot of time to let them know – will you chip in $15, $35, or $50 to help us reach as many voters as possible before important elections this fall? [[link removed]]
