Hi friends,
It’s Tony, the President of Stand with Parkland. I know this is a busy time of year, but I wanted to reach out ahead of Giving Tuesday next month.
As you may have picked up on already, Stand with Parkland isn’t as flashy as other organizations.
Rather than trying to score airtime in the latest partisan debate, we work tirelessly behind the scenes meeting with elected officials from both sides of the aisle to pass laws making our schools safer for students and staff. And while not as glamorous, we take the approach we do because it’s the only effective route to driving tangible, lasting change on this issue.
SUPPORT OUR WORK →
As one might expect, keeping our heads down and prioritizing getting things done all of the time can make fundraising a little difficult. We wouldn’t have it any other way with the progress we’ve been able to make — but it does mean that we really rely on our supporters to help us keep our work going.
That’s why I’m asking you for your help getting a head start on our Giving Tuesday fundraising – will you pitch in $50, $25, or even just $10 to help us continue our work next year? Any amount you’re able to give will go towards continuing the school safety movement at a time when students and teachers are facing more challenges than ever before.
SUPPORT SAFE SCHOOLS →
Every day since February 14, 2018, our families have felt the indescribable anguish and loss that the Parkland school massacre has left in our hearts. While the pain has not subsided in these five years, we’ve channeled that pain to make progress towards our goal of safer schools.
Standing strong by each other's side, Stand with Parkland has played a pivotal role in:
- Passing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the most significant piece of school safety legislation our nation has passed in the last decade;
- Collaborating on the creation of SchoolSafety.gov, our federal government’s first central school safety resource hub;
- Meeting with countless policymakers from county officials to state lawmakers and presidents, driving their agendas to prioritize the issue of school safety;
- And so much more…
Since day one, we’ve been laser-focused on reaching across political divides in order to make our schools and communities safer. But in order to keep this work going, I need the help of every person reading this email.
Whether it’s $5 or $500, can you pitch in whatever you can afford to help us raise $10,000 by Giving Tuesday next month?
We're parents, spouses, and family members who are dedicated to ensuring that no other family has to endure the same pain we've endured, and I hope I can count on your support — any amount you’re able to give helps us make all of America's schools safer.

Thank you so much for your time and your help, friends. We couldn’t do this without you.
