Wednesday 29 April – Sunday 17 May
Old Market Square
By this point, you probably know what The Magnificent Spiegeltent is: a gloriously ornate tent filled with mirrors and opulent decor, in Old Market Square for just 19 days. You're also aware that the tent is due to host all sorts of entertainment, from comedy to music to theatre – from adult shows (ahem, Dirty Sexy Filthy), to kid-friendly adventures with Shlomo. This event is clearly not to be missed, as is the case for the latest act to go on sale: the comedian Matt Forde's "Matt Forde: Brexit Pursued by a Bear". As seen on Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, and The Royal Variety Performance, Matt Forde's performance promises to get you giggling.

Middle Child present award-winning, grime-inspired theatre about a working class black kid who’s accepted to a prestigious grammar school.
This lyrical, semi-autobiographical show from writer and performer Daniel Ward uses grime, hip hop, live music and theatre to tell a story of the struggle between a new environment that doesn't accept you and an old one that has no opportunities. Winner of the Writers’ Guild Award for Best Play for Young Audiences in 2020 and the Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, this show is a must-watch for all ages.
