This week, I officially filed to run for the U.S. Senate in Georgia’s special election.

I decided to run for the U.S. Senate because I was fed up with the cynicism and cowardice of the politicians in Washington. I was fed up with the hatred, division, and stalemate that has resulted from a tradition of broken politics.

I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines and watch our politicians chip away at our progressive values while ignoring the needs of hardworking Georgians. Getting our name on the ballot brings us one step closer to doing something about the failures in Washington.

We still have a long road ahead, and we need to buckle down and focus on getting our message out to every voter in the state. Will you chip in $5, $25, $100 or whatever you can to help fuel our people-powered campaign all the way to Election Day?
