Biological sex is real. It is scientifically discoverable, even before birth, and genetically encoded in every cell of the body. Archaeologists can distinguish it even centuries after death. Biological sex, like other identifying information collected on birth certificates, is a verifiable material fact.

House Bill 500: Fairness in Women's Sports Act
House Bill 500, by Representative Ehardt, prohibits boys and men who are taking measures to transition to the opposite sex from playing on girls and women’s sports teams in Idaho. This bill was passed on the House floor last week, with a vote of 52 (in favor) - 17 (opposed) - 1 (absent).
This bill is scheduled to be heard in the Senate State Affairs Committee this Friday at 8:00 AM.

House Bill 509: Idaho Vital Statistics Act
House Bill 509, also known as The Idaho Vital Statistics Act, was recently introduced by Representative Young and passed on the House floor this last week (53-16-1). This legislation prohibits the changing of key information on a birth certificate. This includes the sex that is listed, which under current law can be amended to match a person’s gender identity.
The bill is currently waiting for a hearing in the Senate State Affairs committee.

House Bill 522: Online Library Resources
House Bill 522, introduced by Representative Young, requires that companies who contract with schools to provide online education materials for minors be prohibited from including obscene and other harmful materials as a part of that contract. This bill was passed this week in the House Education Committee and also on the House floor (53-11-6).
This bill is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Education Committee this TODAY (03.05) at 3:00 PM.

House Bill 525: Public Money, Abortion
House Bill 525, sponsored by Representatives Zollinger and Zito, passed the House floor Tuesday morning (52-17-1) and assigned to the Senate State Affairs Committee yesterday. This bill would not allow for public monies to go to abortion providers.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to their legislators regarding this bill and for the representatives that voted "YES!" to defunding abortion providers with taxpayer dollars.
