The last few weeks have been tough to say the least. I know we’ve all felt angry, devastated, and helpless at times.
But I write to you today because I want you to know that I still have hope. I have hope that we can make progress for the 8th again. And you’re the reason I feel that hope – because I’ve seen firsthand what we can do when we come together and work hard!
It’s time to come together again. We’re rapidly approaching the end of October – and with it comes another important fundraising deadline for our campaign.
Over the last month, we’ve witnessed Republicans in control of Congress grind our government to a halt over their internal struggles to pick a Speaker of the House. The only way they could end the chaos was to completely surrender to the extremists in their own party and install the architect of the House GOP’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, a hardliner against marriage equality, and someone who has a track record of sowing division instead of bringing people together.
House Republicans have turned D.C. into a three ring circus and we need to put an end to it.
