Dear John,
Only 10 days remain before one of the most consequential elections for the Commonwealth - one that will determine the control of the state Senate and whether we are able to hold on to many of our fundamental rights as Virginians. That includes the right to vote, the right to safety on our streets, and the right to keep government out of our personal health choices.
If I am your Senator, I will make it my mission to hold tightly to those rights, as well as ensure that our economy remains strong and that all my constituents have access to healthcare and education. That’s what I mean by the #SpiritofService.
Time and again, my opponent and the GOP have proven that they are beholden only to big-money interests. The hardworking men and women who populate our district are only important to them when they need a vote.
It’s time to stand up and show them that we matter - always. We are the lifeblood of the economy, we are the people who take care of our neighbors, we are the ones who hold hopes and dreams for our children. The ones who believe in a fair and just democracy.
How can we show them? By voting. And by reminding those we love that they must vote too.
I have three requests today:
-
Go vote.
- Tell your friends and family to vote.
- Give a little to my campaign so we can put more feet on the street to turn out the vote.
Together, we can win this election, and preserve our rights as Virginians.
