The Dirty Fuels fight that began with Keystone XL has grown — and so have the risks from oil pipelines. The top priority right now is shutting down the enormous Line 5 pipeline. We need your help to make it happen.
Line 5 stretches across more than 600 miles of countryside in Wisconsin and Michigan and through the Great Lakes at the Straits of Mackinac, pushing 22 million gallons of oil every single day. It poses catastrophic risks to pristine natural areas, farmland, tribal lands, and the Great Lakes, the world's largest source of freshwater and the source of drinking water that communities depend on.
This threat isn't in some far-off future. It's here, now. Line 5 has had 29 spills in its history. Right now, as you read this, it is putting the Great Lakes at risk of an oil spill. It's only a matter of time before this unsafe pipeline — with 70 years of accumulated rust, damage, and degradation — causes an environmental emergency.
We can't afford to wait until that happens. We're building support in Congress to stop these pipeline projects and put pressure on the White House to shut them down for good.
Help shut down polluting pipelines like Line 5 and protect the special places they put at risk. Don't forget about your Eco-Chic Bag offer for every gift of $25 or more!
Let's work together to put people over pipelines — before it's too late.
