I'm neck and neck with my opponents in the race to become California's next senator, and leaders like Ro Khanna, Stacey Abrams and Pramila Jayapal endorsed me to ensure that a true progressive wins this race.

I'm ready to take my fight for justice to the Senate where my lived experience as a Black woman making change for Californians will give a voice to those who are currently voiceless. But it's going to take every one of us doing our part, and I'm counting on you to help power this campaign forward, John.

I'll be honest: Looking at my current fundraising numbers, I won't be able to compete with the millions candidates like Adam Schiff have stockpiled if I don't hit my crucial fundraising goal tonight. So I'm not exaggerating when I say that missing this goal and falling behind could spell disaster for this campaign.

With so much at stake, I have to ask: Please, will you donate $5 right now to help me close the 3-point gap in the polls, win in California and continue my work to build a progressive future for all?
