Along with several other colleagues, I just led a letter to Speaker Johnson, urging him to work with us and pass a Farm Bill that:

- Supports rural America.
- Invests in critical programs for agricultural producers.
- Strengthens the farm safety net and crop insurance program.

Simply put, farm and food security is national security. That’s why I am taking a leading role crafting a Farm Bill that will ensure Americans continue producing the highest quality, lowest cost food, fuel, fiber, and forestry products in the world.

Friend, I hope you will stand with me to support our farmers today by chipping in a thoughtful donation of $25, $50, or even $100.
 

Within the Farm Bill, I am also pushing for the Producer and Agricultural Credit Enhancement Act (P.A.C.E. Act).

This bipartisan legislation is aimed at expanding the loan opportunities available to our country’s farmers and ranchers, especially those who are just starting out.

The Producer and Agricultural Credit Enhancement Act (P.A.C.E. Act) would:

- Increase FSA Guaranteed Operating Loans from $2.04 million to $3 million;
- Increase Guaranteed Ownership Loans from $2.04 million to $3.5 million;
- Increase Direct Operating Loans from $400,000 to $750,000; and, 
- Increase Direct Ownership Loans from $600,000 to $850,000.

These loans are critical to ensure farms have ready-access to much-needed capital during hard times, but also open doors for expansion, repairs, and updated equipment to remain competitive.

At a time when American families are feeling the squeeze of this Biden economy, it’s vital that we still have leaders in Washington willing to shut out the political noise and buckle down to solve problems and get things done.
