Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 hunting will be prohibited in some Maine towns

In order to ensure the safety of the public, and assist law enforcement in their search, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is prohibiting hunting in certain towns until further notice.

This includes all hunting activities, for any species, by any method, and by use of any implement.
