John, Rep. Matt Gaetz is TELLING us exactly what the Republican Party has become:

He’s right, John. With the House GOP unanimously electing Mike Johnson as Speaker, it shows that the MAGA caucus is officially in control.

Just look at who Mike Johnson is:

An EXTREME election denier. Johnson actively led a lawsuit that would have INVALIDATED the election results in four key states.

A MAGA loyalist. When trying to get Republicans to sign onto his lawsuit, he told Members of Congress that “[Trump] specifically asked me to contact all Republican Members of the House and Senate…”

And a clear and present danger to our democracy. Come Election Day, Rep. Johnson could be holding the Speaker’s gavel when the House is certifying the election results - and use it to challenge election results that don’t look good for Donald Trump.
Right now, our BEST line of defense against extremist Republicans is strong, Democratic Secretaries of State who will stand up for the will of the voters.
