Hi John,

There are three weeks left for the GOP to get their act together and work with Democrats to come up with a deal to fund our government.

After weeks of chaos and an inability to agree on their own House speaker — frankly, one of the most grievous displays of incompetence I’ve seen in my time in Congress — Americans are biting their nails wondering if our government will be open next month.

This clown show needs to end, and as Chair of the DCCC, I will do everything in my power to make sure it does. We have a massive end-of-month fundraising goal of $70,000 to hit before Tuesday’s deadline to retake our House majority and ensure a functioning government. To be clear, funding our government is the bare minimum Congress should do. But instead of getting to work, the GOP continues to empower the loudest, most belligerent MAGA extremists like Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert.

The GOP has signed off on multiple poisonous amendments that include banning servicemembers from access to reproductive care, banning books, and slashing funding for critical services Americans depend on. It’s shameful and completely out of touch with the values of most Americans.

With a Democratic majority, we could be working to address climate change, end gun violence, and lower costs for childcare, education, healthcare, and so much more.

Democrats only need to win FIVE seats to retake control of Congress. We can do it, but not without your continued support. Chip in $5 or any amount ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, and let’s get Congress back on track.
