Dear John,
We've loved her for 550 days and we couldn't be happier to see her finally settle in with her new family. Our beloved Caramel was just adopted, and it was the best birthday gift ever! |

Tennessee Tornado Relief
PAWS Chicago dispatched two vans and four volunteers to Nashville to offer relief after the devastating tornadoes by rescuing as many voiceless and displaced animals as possible. PAWS Chicago's rescue efforts are focused on pets who were previously in local shelters before the storms hit. By rescuing these animals, we’ll help make room for the coming influx of animals displaced by the tragedy. Meanwhile, we are readying our Medical Center for the arrival of the animals, many of whom are sick, injured and traumatized. Please, join our efforts to save lives now. |

Empire State of Mind
The pups of PAWS Chicago joined the cast and crew of FOX’s Empire on Friday, February 14th, at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios. The lucky troupe received the most loving Valentine’s gift—a puppy party with PAWS’s sweethearts.
The gathering consisted of Empire Director, Steve Damato, and actors Pej Vahdat, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Gabourey Sidibe, and Rhyon Nicole Brown. Also in attendance, of course, was the canine cast of PAWS Chicago—and two were adopted!

Volunteer of the Month
Eileen Johnson has been volunteering at PAWS Chicago since April 2015. She is currently in Nashville to aid in the tornado disaster relief. When she began her work with us, both of her senior cats had just passed, and she wanted to spend time with animals.
Her motivation is, “watching the animals go from frightened strays to adoptable pets,” said Eileen.
Eileen is a true cat lover—she’s fostered 22 kittens, and four of them ended up being beloved foster fails!
Thank you, Eileen, for all you do for PAWS Chicago and the animals you help save!

Happy Endings: Odin's Remarkable Recovery
Our community cat team found little Odin alone and in shock on the streets recently. He was the sole survivor of a brutal possum attack. We rushed him to our Medical Center for emergency treatment. The scene was heartbreaking. Naturally skittish, he was scared and suffering.
Against the odds, his story has a happy ending.
We tended his wounds and earned his trust. Once healed, he moved to the Adoption Center where he made friends with humans and cats alike. Now, Odin is healthy and living a life of luxury in his new home. This little love bug once faced the great outdoors alone. He'll never have to again.
