Now, Senate Republicans are introducing legislation to mandate minimally trained armed school security guards in our public schools.
Friend, some public schools in Pennsylvania can’t even afford new textbooks for their students. Yet still, Republicans would rather use our limited funds on guns instead of our students. This makes our fight to flip our State Senate in 2024 all the more important.

Here’s the reality, friend: Research shows that guns in schools are shown to make school shootings nearly three times more lethal. What actually makes kids and educators safer is more mental health support, such as school counselors and social workers.
