John, have you heard the news?
After spending the better half of this month putting petty games over the needs of our people, Republicans have finally elected a Speaker of the House: far-right extremist Mike Johnson.
While the fight for the speakership is over, the fight for important legislation is just starting, and Mike Johnson's record makes it clear he's not focused on our residents. Before I tell you more, I'm fighting to continue tackling the issues that actually matter – will you support my people-focused, people-funded campaign today? [[link removed]]

John, I don't want to take up a lot of your time – I've just seen a fair amount of red flags in our new Speaker's track record, and I wanted to share those with you.
🚩 He introduced the national version of the "Don't Say Gay" bill.
🚩 He's committed to banning abortion nationwide.
🚩 He tried to overturn the 2020 election results.
🚩 He's in full support of cutting Social Security and Medicare.
And while it's not surprising that Republicans would choose someone with such dangerous, outdated, and misinformed beliefs, it's a clear sign to how hard Democrats like me will have to work to push the needle on important legislation.
There's nothing I want more than to continue being a strong advocate for what our communities need. But any opponent I face in 2024 will have the same values as our new Speaker. John, I need your help to make sure my name gets on the ballot – will you chip in to help my team collect the signatures we need? [[link removed]]
