OK, so let's go back to 2022. That year, I ran on court drawn maps that made NC-01 into a Democrat +7.7 district. That is, an average Democrat could count on winning by 7 against an average Republican.
If you want to know how strong I am in this part of North Carolina, Nancy Pelosi had to spent over $6 million against me- and I only lost by four points, 48-52. That's a difference of about 6,000 votes. So I overperformed that district.
The new district is a true tossup district. If I had run in 2022 on these new lines, I would be the sitting congresswoman right now.
I would have won by over 8,000 votes!
This new district is GREAT. With this district, I will flip this seat and end almost 150 years of Democrat control over this seat!
Believe me, I'm not the only one who knows that I am set up to flip this seat.
The Dem incumbent, who only won this seat because of Pelosi's slimy attacks on me, is already scared he has to run against me in a fairly drawn seat.
