“This election is going to be one that is historical

Folks, that’s what our Southern Organizing Advisor, Charles Taylor, told The New York Times about Mississippi’s upcoming election.

And here’s why: The governor’s election happening in just two weeks will be the first time voters in Mississippi aren’t held back by a Jim Crow-era voter suppression law.

It’s also Mississippi’s first major election since a lifetime voting ban that impacted tens of thousands of voters was struck down.

These reasons, coupled with the fact that our partners on the ground have been working tirelessly to register, motivate, and empower Mississippians to vote, mean we have a real chance to defeat extreme Republicans and usher in a new era of governance for the Magnolia State.

Can you help us make this happen by pitching in $10 today? We’re facing our final end-of-month deadline before Election Day, so anything you can give will go a long way.
