“This election is going to be one that is historical”

And here’s why: The governor’s election happening in just two weeks will be the first time voters in Mississippi aren’t held back by a Jim Crow-era voter suppression law.

It’s also Mississippi’s first major election since a lifetime voting ban that impacted tens of thousands of voters was struck down.
